Jim Carrey’s rep is addressing a recent interview the star had with a journalist that has been garnering negative attention online.

The 58-year-old actor came under fire for a comment during an interview withHeat Magazine’s Charlotte Long during which Carrey answered a question about his bucket list in a manner that raised eyebrows.

In the interview published Tuesday, Long asks Carrey: “In the film, ‘Sonic’ has a bucket list, I was wondering, after all you’ve done in your career and in your life, is there anything still left on your bucket list?”

“Just you,” Carrey said. “That’s it. It’s all done now.”

Long laughs it off and says “I don’t know what to say to that.”

“Just own it,” the “Me, Myself & Irene” actor said.

“OK, I’m owning it,” Long responded.

The video has been viewed over 90,000 times on YouTube and garnered reactions on Twitter from those who felt Carrey’s response was sexually charged.

“Unfortunately it turns out Jim Carrey is a massive sleazebag,” wrote @GraemePatfield in response to an article about the interview.

“It was a joke!!!! These years those jokes are meant that people are rude and offensive, it’s a joke,” wrote @yesitsmeguru.
